Every year, in days 3 and 4 October , becomes the heart of Assisi ' Italy : the Umbrian town honors its most famous son solemnly, San Francisco, which since 1939 is the patron of our country.
E 'in this very date that the Italian municipalities wanted to offer an artistic Poor lamp still burning at the tomb of the saint, and whose base is engraved with the verse of Dante " is no other than the Its light within "Francis is revered as the mystical sun rise from Assisi and spreads everywhere the rays of its spiritual light.

Nel Santuario di S. Maria degli Angeli, in Porziuncola, il calendario delle iniziative è molto ricco. Fra i numerosi appuntamenti va evidenziato il Premio “ Rosa d’argento-Frate Jacopa” 2010 , che verrà consegnato all’attrice Claudia Koll e che ogni anno premia una donna del nostro tempo, testimone di fede, speranza e carità. Allo stesso modo di Frate Jacopa, la signora Koll in questi anni ha dimostrato come l’incontro con Dio possa cambiare radicalmente la vita a person transformed into a sign of hope and charity.
Another initiative is the exhibition dedicated to St. Francis in the history of thirty, entitled "A masterpiece for St. Francis . The "Poor Man of Assisi in the art Thirty" . The exhibition will be staged at the Museum of the Annunciation Hall Porziuncola and presented at the end of the celebration of the Passing of St. Francis.
